Welcome to our wonderful school!

Welcome to our wonderful school and thank you for visiting our brand new website! My name is Mrs Harris, and I am privileged to have been the Head Teacher of Robin Hood Primary School since January 2016 and Executive Headteacher since September 2023. Miss Hobson is our Head of School and we work closely with the rest of SLT to provide our pupils with the very best opportunities. The vast majority of pupils are from within a tight catchment area but some specially funded children do come from further afield. We are a two form entry school which currently has 472 children from 3-11 on roll with a nursery offering 15 and 30 hour places.

We encourage all of our pupils to have high expectations and believe that, ‘Success is in the Journey, Not the Destination’ and we are committed to ensuring that all children leave our school with the skills they require to make a positive contribution to society. At Robin Hood, we are positive, friendly and committed to our children, demonstrating a real enthusiasm for learning. We have a warm, welcoming atmosphere, purposeful environment and amazing children. Our curriculum is one based around CARE: Citizenship and Community, being Aspirational, having Resilience and Enquiry.

We are incredibly proud of our many achievements which include; School Games Platinum Award. We are also delighted to be a strategic partner of the St Anthony's Primary Learning Partnership, allowing us to collaborate and share excellence, as well as develop teachers of the future. Our school is also proud to be part of Teach First and several of our teachers have qualified and developed here at Robin Hood. We also work closely with other local schools in the Rothwell Learning Alliance and we are committed to supporting each other in order to provide the very best to children across our community. Through the Executive headteacher model, we work and collaborate closely with Drighlington Primary School, sharing CPD and INSET days and working on joint priorities.

Whether you are an existing parent or potentially a new parent, we hope that you find our website informative, useful and a reflection of our wonderful school. We do welcome visits to the school and these can be arranged by emailing the office@robinhood.leeds.sch.uk.

Thank you again,

Mrs Harris, Executive Headteacher
